IMMUNITY BOOSTING ESSENTIAL OILS

WE'RE STILL NOT DONE WITH WINTER

We’re eagerly awaiting spring and warmer weather, but we're still not done with winter. We’re not completely finished with the sedentary lifestyle, which is intensified at this time of year. We spend a lot of time indoors –  it's still very cozy under a warm blanket and with a cup of tea in our hands. Unfortunately, we’re not done with seasonal viruses and bacteria that we are almost accustomed to during the colder part of the year. From blocked sinuses, stuffy noses and sneezing, to feelings of fatigue and exhaustion – we’ve seen it all, we don’t always succeed in defending ourselves.

BOOST YOUR IMMUNITY WITH NATURE

Whether we are already under siege by viruses and bacteria or our body is weakened and we want to strengthen it a little – help from nature is available. It comes in the form of essential oils and procedures that can help in recovery. Use them also as preventative measures to strengthen your immunity and avoid even having to recover. KAIAA has a stash of powerful natural helpers that can assist you in this.

Tea tree

Tea tree essential oil is known for its ability to stimulate the immune system. It also successfully fights viruses, bacteria, and fungi. It has a stimulating effect on the muscular and nervous systems.

  • Inhale it using a diffuser or the "old-school" way (with a bowl of hot water) for various respiratory problems. It will show you its antimicrobial properties and help you deal with unwanted guests as much as possible. Read more about proper inhalation techniques here.
  • Dilute tea tree essential oil in a carrier oil (almond, coconut, or argan) so you can use it on your skin. In this way, it will stimulate your immune system and give you strength. If you’re experiencing general fatigue, it will help raise your energy level.

Eucalyptus

Eucalyptus essential oil is most commonly used for its beneficial effects on the respiratory system. It’s an excellent choice for a stuffy nose and blocked sinuses, and it also has antiviral and antibacterial properties.

  • Inhale eucalyptus to clear your airways – release the pressure and breathe freely. Allow it to show its antiviral and antibacterial effects. Same as tea tree, inhale it using a diffuser or over a bowl of hot water. Read more about proper inhalation techniques here.
  • Dilute eucalyptus essential oil in a carrier oil (almond, coconut, or argan) and apply to sore and painful areas of the body. The cooling effect that you’ll get in this way will have a soothing effect and help you overcome pain as easily as possible.

Clove

Clove essential oil has a strong stimulating effect. In addition, it has analgesic and antimicrobial properties.

  • To rid yourself of the feeling of general fatigue, dilute it in a carrier oil (almond, coconut, or argan) and apply it to your skin. It will raise your energy level and bring you up a notch.
  • Make your own mouthwash with this oil and gargle it several times a day for its antimicrobial properties and pain relief. We have already written about how to make it – the recipe is very simple, see for yourself.

True lavender

It is no secret that stress often triggers various conditions and diseases. Chronic stress can weaken us and make us susceptible to various viruses and bacteria. It will reduce the ability of our immune system to optimally fight external forces. That is why it’s important to find your own ways of dealing with stress and thus keep your body and immune system in balance.

True lavender essential oil can help you with this, as it has a calming and relaxing effect and helps with insomnia. This anti-stress oil will help your body gain enough strength and endurance through rest and relaxation.

  • Inhale it using a diffuser when you feel stressed out, nervous, and need a moment to calm down. Let its sweet scent bring you relaxation and calm your nervous system down.
  • If you have problems with insomnia, diffuse true lavender in your bedroom an hour before bedtime. Create a foundation for a sound and uninterrupted sleep.
  • Return your body to a state of balance with a warm bath or shower enriched with this essential oil. If you suffer from insomnia, do this in the evening or just before bedtime. Find out more in this blog.

IT GETS BETTER

No one likes to be ill – to sneeze, sniff, feel weak and tired all day. We all want to be ourselves – in full capacity, ready for the day and its challenges. Unfortunately, some things we cannot avoid, but we can try to help ourselves and alleviate our problems. We at KAIAA always turn to nature for help – whether for preventive purposes or when our defenses are breached.
