SENSE. PURE. NATURE.

ESSENTIAL AUTUMN VIBES

SEASON OF CHANGE AND MENTAL RENEWAL

Autumn is a time of change. As in nature, so in us. The trees are losing their leaves, slowly preparing for the winter holidays, they are moving to preserve energy. Temperatures are getting lower and days are getting shorter. We change accordingly, as well. We are undeniably part of nature, although we often forget that fact. We do not lose leaves, but we do adapt to new seasons. After perky summer and its vigor, we also start a transition to prepare for winter. Autumn is a period of transition, with a little extra grounding, introspection, and clarity. We are slowly preparing for a hibernation.

AUTUMN IN A DROP OF OIL

KAIAA recommends several ways to bring the autumn atmosphere to your space:

For relaxation, calming and grounding:

Add 5 to 10 drops of Peace & Quiet essential oil blend into your diffuser or aroma lamp

Make your own blend by choosing soothing, relaxing oils of a warm and sensual scent. Add the following to the diffuser or aroma lamp:

For clarity and focus:

Add a few drops to your own mixture for focus and clarity - needed for a proper grounding:

  • 1 to 2 drops of spearmint essential oil
  • 1 to 2 drops of lemon essential oil

Autumn breeze in your home:

KAIAA invites you to play, explore, to be curious. We all like it different, some better than other. If you want that autumn breeze and atmosphere in your home, bring it with woody and nutty aromas, adding the following to your mix:

    MENTAL AND SPIRITUAL HYGIENE

When you create the environment where you feel safe to ground, invoke calmness, and preserve the energy, take a few moments to yourself. You have brought autumn to your space, now combine it with some mindful activity:

    • Settle in the most comfortable corner you can find and open that book that you seem to never have time to read. Imagine the space taking a whole new dimension, with crisp cold outdoors - the moment is perfect. Make sure you are comfortable and enjoy this newly found space. Allow yourself time, turn the pages mindfully.
    • Include some grounding music. Listen to tunes matching the sweet and sensual scents of your safe space. Close your eyes and allow all your senses to engage. Just listen and breathe, no pressure, no rush.
    • Lie down on an exercise mat or on the floor and focus on your breathing for ten minutes. Try to relax all the muscles in your body. Breathe slowly inhaling and exhaling for the same amount of time. Feel all the scents that spread through the space. Feel your body touching the floor. Let your racing mind wait.
    • Sit or lie down somewhere comfortable. Try to spend a few minutes in silence, doing nothing. Make sure to enjoy this exercise. Try to clear your mind of all thoughts. It's not easy - thoughts tend to gush out when you want exactly the opposite. You may remember something you forgot to do that day. Try to observe those thoughts, recognize them, acknowledge - it is perfectly normal that they are there. Now try to let them go, peacefully. Think of them as products on a conveyor belt – observe them leaving your quiet and fragrant space. Try to get back to your body. Repeat the process as many times as you want. For as long as you are comfortable. Don't force anything - if it doesn't work this time, it will work eventually. Be kind to yourself.

    GROUNDING AND TIME OF ADJUSTMENT

Life doesn’t always allow us to crawl into our lair, to read, listen to music, relax, and do nothing. If it does, once you are out, it collapses right back at you. We cannot ignore requests of life, but we can be better at adapting and organizing our time. That includes ‘stealing’ a few minutes for ourselves. Getting your moment is also possible on the go. For catching the ‘you-moment’ on the go, KAIAA offers ‘Take a break’ roll-on. Apply it to the temples, wrists, or neck. Massage briefly. Take a few deep breaths to connect with your body. Maybe you’ve taken a break from work, using public transport, standing, and waiting in line – wherever you are, taking five minutes for you will prove precious in a long run.
