Summer is just beginning, but it has already gained good momentum. The heat is getting stronger and harder to deal with.

Extreme temperatures often cause heatstroke that is difficult for the body to withstand. This is undoubtedly one of the biggest reasons why we only tolerate summer while on the beach. It's a significant burden.

The heat tires you. You are not concentrated, do not have the will to leave the house, have nausea, and your body dehydrates.

These are all signs of heatstroke that can affect anyone. We all fall into the same despair and try to find many ways to cool down and make high temperatures as easy as possible.

We know you already thought of cold drinks, air conditioning, shade and light clothing. Sure, but this way is about to surprise you.

Essential oils can help cool your body. Although they are not usually used during the summer because some oils are sensitive to light, others are a great way to help yourself during the summer heat.

Essential oils contain only the purest of nature and are very powerful. Each oil has different effects, each of them excellent and valuable, but an effect that many did not know about is the cooling effect.

Essential oils with cooling properties that will cool your body or soothe sunburned skin are

True lavender is already known for calming and relaxing the body and mind. It's suitable for cooling, too. A few drops of lavender in aloe vera gel perfectly cools inflamed skin. Likewise, drops of lavender in a lukewarm bath will help lower body temperature and soothe sunburned skin. It is also convenient to add lavender drops to a syringe bottle that you can carry wherever you go.

Peppermint is an oil you might have guessed would be on this list. Peppermint is known for its freshness. Its invigorating scent will energize the mind, open the airways and refresh you. It contains high menthol levels, preventing drowsiness while naturally lowering body temperature. That is why peppermint essential oil is a great companion for longer trips.

It is best to use it with your lotion, which you then apply to your hands, neck and feet. You can add it to aloe vera gel or make a foot bath.

Spearmint has similar therapeutic benefits as peppermint. The best feeling this essential oil brings is the feeling of a clear head, calming down and instantly reducing inflammation by freeing capillaries.

You can also combine it with a bit of body lotion and rub your hands, feet, and back of your neck before bed or going out on a hot day. It also significantly impacts when mixed with a face wash gel.

Eucalyptus has strong anti-inflammatory properties and is ideal for cooling the body. It helps dilate blood vessels which stimulate circulation and, in turn, helps lower body temperature.

Using it with the diffuser is also a great option as the room smells fresh and clean while at the same time opening the airways and cooling.

You can add it to your bath or dilute it with water and use it in the shower. It has also been effective when sprayed on sheets and pillows. Summer nights can be incredibly challenging, so this kind of salvation is always welcome.

If you suffer from sweaty feet, mix eucalyptus oil with a carrier oil and apply it to your feet. You will immediately feel the cooling.

It's possible to enjoy summer days because there is a great additional solution. If you like using essential oils during colder months, there is no reason to take a break from them during summertime. Extra caution is always recommended.

If you haven't tried essential oils yet, you can do so now. Choose the oil whose aroma suits you best and use it most efficiently. The most important thing is to follow the manufacturer's recommendations and carefully study the properties of each oil.
